- Picture Box / mirror box protects your mirrors, pictures, artwork, and glass shelving. Pad the picture, painting or mirror with bubble wrap, newsprint or foam wrap
- Packing Paper
- white newsprint paper is ideal for wrapping dishes and all breakables. Crumpled newsprint is ideal for cushion the bottom of the box to use in any spaces left in the box. A sheet on each side to keep the content clean and compact. It is recommended that you pack your boxes as tightly as possible as this will prevent any movement or breakage. Each roll of newsprint weight 25 lbs. and holds approximately 400 sheets per bundle..

- Gather up unwanted items and hold a garage sale or donate them to charity.
- Drain the gasoline in lawn mowers,

- Donate or use canned and bottled foods during freezing weather.
- Rugs and carpets should be rolled and tied in three places on the rolled rug

- Assign a place for suitcases and other items that are not to be moved by the mover or to go in the truck.
- Important to use only sturdy boxes and containers for storing your items.
- Label all containers and boxes.
- Fill containers to capacity and fill in space with packing material.
- Pack heavier items in small boxes.
- Secure mirrors, paintings, and pictures in mirror boxes and pack them on edge.
- Shrink wrap wooden table legs and chairs to avoid scratches.
- Cover sofas with plastic wrap or sheets so that they do not gather dust, and stack them on end. [Do not cover leather with plastic, this makes leather sweat]
- Cover dressers with sheets or shrink-wrap so you can stack boxes on top.
- Fill drawers and appliances with small items to save space.
- Remember to lay books flat when packing and avoid placing them directly on the unit floor.
- Wrap dishes and other breakables individually, layering padding at the top and bottom of the box.
- For long term storage it is best store clothing clean and in wardrobe containers.

- Place a blanket or pad on the concrete floor before placing large items of furniture in the unit and then cover the furniture with a blanket or sheet, to keep the dust at bay.
- It is advisable not to lean furniture against outside walls.
- Store tabletops upwards on a blanket to avoid it being scratched.

- Do not store food as this will attract mice and other pests.
